The Zero FXE is the fastest accelerating 11kW motorcycle in the world, reaching 60mph in little over four seconds and going on to a top speed of 82 mph. The FXE achieves this extraordinary performance through combining peak power of 33kW (44 hp) with torque of 78 ft lb, which is normally associated with 1000cc petrol bikes. The FXE combines this impressive turn of pace with great agility due to weighing just 135kg and riding on 17" wheels fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres.
Showa provides the fully adjustable, front and rear suspension with inverted 41 mm front forks providing 7" of travel and a 40mm piston, piggy-back reservoir shock at the rear providing 8.94" of travel. Brakes are courtesy of Bosch 9th Gen ABS mated to J-Juan calipers which grip a 320 mm front disc and a 240 mm disc at the rear.
The FXE is ideally suited to urban commuting where its 7.2kWh battery will deliver well over 70 miles of range, assisted by the regenerative braking which thrives on a start-stop riding pattern. The FXE is a total blast on twisty roads where its unique attributes really come together to create an immensely entertaining ride, which much larger bikes will struggle to keep up with. Range inevitably suffers when ridden harder but the FXE will still deliver up to fifty miles when away from urban jungles.
Although the The FXE is offered in both an 11 kW and a 15kW (A2) version, both deliver the same peak power, torque and top speed.
